My Favorite Restaurant

There is a restaurant that has stood the test of time - lasting through good economic times and bad, and surviving all the trendy cuisine. There is one reason. The food is amazing. In all the years I have been going to this restaurant - I have never had anything bad. My favorites? Toss up between teh pepper steak, and the shrimp scampi. Both are amazing. All of their steaks are wonderful, as is the prime rib. Then they come around with the dessrt tray. You have to. No matter how full you are you just can't help picking one of the goodies. I know, I'm an advocate for healthy eating. But that doesn't mean that I don't fully enjoy stuffing myself a couple times a year! The service is usually great. The ambience is very 70s - but comfortable. If you can get a seat by the fireplace, it's beautiful - but hot. But here, it's really all about the food. There is a bar that attracts an older crowd if you want ot hang around and dance off some of that meal. I've hung there with Chicago Bears players - before their superbowl win. There was a reason why the team was so bad back then! Talk about partiers. I wonder what happened to some of those guys. How many restaurants do you know that have lasted that long, let alone still have a thriving business? I think we'll have to plan a trip down to Northbrook soon. |
